Our Story at a Glance

Rokaflex stands for a quarter century of development, growth, and technical innovation. Since our founding in 2000, we’ve pursued a clear mission: to develop durable, high-quality components for air duct systems – reliable, functional, and individually adaptable.

What began with the production of telephone silencers and flexible aluminum ducts has continuously evolved into a diverse product range – with solutions for shipbuilding, industry, and building technology. We consistently expand, modernize, and internationalize our production sites. Automation, sustainability, and quality are the cornerstones of our success.

2000

Founding of Rokaflex-Zahn GmbH

With the vision of „Quality without Compromise” Jürgen Zahn founded Rokaflex H. Zahn in Reinbek. The company initially specialized in telephone silencers and flexible aluminum ducts. Within the same year, it was rebranded as Rokaflex-Zahn GmbH, and the product portfolio was expanded – including components for shipbuilding, flexible duct systems, and customized special solutions.

2002

New Location, New Opportunities

The move to Braak creates new capacities for production and storage.
At the previous location in Hamburg, the production of spiral-seam ducts begins in parallel.

2003

New Leadership for New Growth

Oscar McAven takes over management, ushering in a phase of sustainable growth and expanded market presence.

2005 & 2007

Regional Expansion

New Production and Delivery Sites in Wuppertal and Nürnberg
New manufacturing and distribution facilities in Wuppertal and Nürnberg ensure nationwide supply – fast, flexible, and customer-oriented.

2009

Entry into the Scandinavian Market

By acquiring a stake in the Danish specialist AIR2TRUST, we successfully enter the Scandinavian market. The focus is on round and rectangular air duct systems.

2010 & 2011

Expansion of Manufacturing

In Braak, serial and custom production of silencers begins, while in Reinbek, the manufacturing of molded parts starts. Both locations provide tailored solutions for a wide range of requirements.

2012

Expansion & Integration

A new logistics center with a fully automated high-bay warehouse for 4,900 pallets begins operations in Braak. At the same time, a new production hall is built, and the manufacturing of soundproofing baffles starts.
With the acquisition of the long-standing supplier Hesmer and the relocation of molded parts production to Braak, we are making a clear statement. Robot-assisted manufacturing technologies increase efficiency and future-proof our production.

2013

Digitalization & Product Diversity

The manufacturing range expands to include pressed molded parts and rectangular silencers. At the same time, we implement the ERP system „Navision“.

2014 & 2015

Automation on the Rise

A fiber laser, a connector automation machine, and later an automated bending machine expand our production capacities and increase efficiency and quality.

2016

Internationalization in Eastern Europe

With the acquisition of the company PKM in Gubin, Poland, we are expanding our presence in Eastern Europe. A new production and logistics center strengthens our manufacturing capacity.

2017

Progress in Braak and Gubin

In Braak, we commissioned a new press and a modern acoustics laboratory for silencer testing. The Gubin site expanded with an additional production hall.

2018

Relocation & Rebranding

The move to the new production hall in Gubin and the rebranding to Rokaflex GmbH mark another important step toward modernization and internationalization.

2021

Certified Quality

The certification according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 confirms our quality management system — an important milestone for our company.

2022

New Partnerships, New Brand

The partnership with Vento strengthens our market position and creates new synergies. We revamped our corporate design and unveiled the new brand identity at the ISH trade fair in Frankfurt.

2023

Industry 4.0 and Sustainability

We implemented automated Industry 4.0 systems, setting new standards in efficiency and precision. At the same time, we optimize our processes to ensure environmentally friendly manufacturing. Our involvement with AIR2TRUST concludes, with a clear focus on our own future strategy.

2024

Growth with Responsibility

Automated production robots increase efficiency and reduce workload. We are deliberately expanding our team—particularly in controlling and sustainability management—to strengthen our company’s long-term success.

2025

25 Years of Rokaflex
